Are You Really Okay?

Wildflower Whispers often wanders into the beautiful and the hard parts of being human. This entry touches on mental health — read when you feel safe to. 🌙

Are you really okay?

I was driving the other day, listening to "Are You Really OK?" by Sleep Token, and it hit in a way I can't even describe. That song doesn't just ask a question; it cracks open the quiet parts of your mind that you've been holding shut for too long. The parts where you've been fighting battles no one sees.

Mental health has always been one of those things people tell you to "get help" for, as if it's simple. But it's not. Getting help doesn't make you weak. Talking to someone doesn't mean you've failed. Sometimes, it's the bravest thing you can do, because it means you're finally tired of fighting alone.

I've been in those places where my thoughts feel too loud, but the world around me feels too quiet. When people I love try to help, I know they mean well. But sometimes, the noise of their concern feels heavier than silence.

And yet... it's the silence that kills.

It's the silence where your mind whispers things that aren't true, that you're too much, too broken, too far gone. You're not.

If you've ever felt like that, I want you to know: you're not alone in it. You don't have to carry everything on your own shoulders. The world gets heavy. Life gets loud. But you still deserve to breathe, even when it feels like you're drowning

Maybe you're not ready to talk. Maybe you just need someone to sit in the silence with you. That's okay too. Just don't give up. There's still light, even when you can't see it yet…

Im sorry if this was a lot for my first blog post, but thanks for coming and ready🤍

Stay tuned for next week, “I’m Raising Angelica Pickles and Donnie Thornberry!”
